Season rules

These rules apply to the weekly seasons of Crystal Depths. By joining a season you accept them.

Organizer

Seasons are organized by ceus.games: Ceyhun Baş (CeusGames), Çarşı Mah. Hasan Vehbi Uyanıksoy Cad. No:17/4, Gerze / Sinop, Türkiye. Contact: contact@ceusgames.com

Taking part

• Taking part is free; no purchase is necessary and a purchase does not improve your chances of winning.
• You join a season only with a ceus.games account. Each person may take part with one account only.
• To join a season you need to verify your account's e-mail address; the verification link is sent when you sign up, and you can request it again from your account page.
• You must be 18 or older to receive a prize. Players under 18 can play and appear on the leaderboard but cannot receive prizes; that prize passes to the next eligible player.

Season dates

Each season starts on Monday at 00:00 and ends on Sunday at 23:59:59; the next one starts right away. Dates are shown on the season page. Times are Türkiye time (UTC+3).

How scoring works

• Seasons are played with a separate season mine; neither your normal save nor earlier season mines carry over, and everyone starts from zero every week.
• Your score is the total crystals you mine during the season. Spending or flying to a new planet (formerly called collapsing the mine) never lowers it.
• The score is calculated by the server. The game syncs with the server at regular intervals; the server's result is final.
• There is no luck in seasons: geodes, Crystal Rain, the daily reward, quests, boosters and ad rewards don't work in the season mine. Taps count at most 12 times per second.
• If scores are tied, whoever reached that score first ranks higher.

Not allowed

The following lead to removal from the season and cancellation of any prize:

• Playing with more than one account or using someone else's account,
• Using auto-clickers, macros, scripts or any software that alters the game,
• Knowingly exploiting a bug in the game or the server (if you find one, tell us; thank you),
• Using an abusive or inappropriate player name.

In suspicious cases we reserve the right to review the records and announce our decision.

Cheat checks

• On every sync the server measures tap rate, play time and invalid requests, and keeps an irreversible digest of the IP address to spot several accounts from the same network. These measurements are deleted 90 days after the season ends.
• If a tap rate no human can reach is measured (above 11 per second for a long time, or above 30 per second), the account is removed from the season automatically.
• Other suspicious cases are reviewed by an administrator, and the top places are checked again before prizes are given.
• If you think you were removed by mistake, write to us from the contact page; we'll review it and, if you're right, put you back in the season.

Bots on the leaderboard

Rivals marked BOT on the leaderboard are computer characters. They are there to make the race livelier, cannot receive prizes and do not count toward real players' ranks. Prize places are decided among real players only.

Prizes

• Prize pool: Each season, a share of ceus.games' ad and sponsorship revenue goes into the prize pool. We set the amount based on how that week went, and the pool is never less than $10 in any season. The pool is split 60% to 1st place, 30% to 2nd and 10% to 3rd.
• The current pool is shown on the season page throughout the season. Once a season has started the pool can grow, but an announced amount is never lowered. The final amount is announced on the same page within 3 days after the season ends.
• Prizes are given as digital gift cards or codes; they cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.
• Prize amounts are stated in US dollars. The winner receives the prize as a digital gift card of that value and chooses the card: Steam, App Store, Google Play or the other options we offer that season. The card is sent so that it works in the winner's country; the amount may be rounded to the nearest card value in the local currency.
• Steam cards are sent as Steam digital gift cards to the winner's Steam account; the winner needs to add the ceus.games Steam account as a friend. Codes for other cards are sent to the winner's email address.
• Apple, Google and Valve are not sponsors of these seasons and are not involved with them in any way.
• In a season, each person and each Steam account can receive at most one prize. Before sending a prize we may ask the winner for more information to confirm they played with a single account (for example, the Steam account they will use). If we find several accounts belonging to the same person, all of them are removed from the season and the prize passes to the next eligible player.
• When the season ends, we email the winners at the address on their account. If a winner doesn't reply within 14 days, the prize passes to the next eligible player.
• Prizes are sent within 14 days of the winner's reply.
• Tax: Under Turkish tax law, prizes are competition prizes. If a prize's value in Turkish lira, at the exchange rate on the day it is sent, exceeds the legal exemption set each year (66,935 TL for 2026), the required tax (currently 20%) is withheld only on the part above the exemption and paid to the tax office; the winner receives the rest. If tax has to be withheld, we tell the winner the amount before sending the prize. Prizes below the exemption have nothing withheld.
• A brand's gift card being given as a prize doesn't mean that brand sponsors the season; seasons are organized solely by ceus.games.

Personal data

Only your player name and score appear on the leaderboard. Your email address is used only to contact you about a prize. See the privacy notice for details.

Changes

If a technical problem or cheating is detected, we may extend the season, correct scores or cancel the season. We announce any changes on the season page.
